Day 336
Slightly more relaxing sunday- cleaned out the pig stye and the chicken house and cooked our first roast for a while- Autumn must be coming.
Roast duck and orange eaten in the garden.
Day 335
Saturday Sept 15th
strimming the paddocks (one day we'll have a tractor topper again and the job will be done in a fraction of the time!)

Day 329
Tidying up the area by the well- taking out the dead olive trunks.
The Eriobotrya/Loquat started to show some life- but it's still not looking very healthy and has a very fire damaged trunk- so we're coming around to the decision that it will probably have to go.....Eriobotrya/Loquat |

Day 326
The gardens around the house are looking green and lush, making a real little haven for us- but the rest of the land is struggling with the dry summer and the pine beetles- which means virtually none of the existing trees here have survived here now.
Day 321
Saturday 1st September
The tree cutting continues and we still don't seem to have put a dent in it.
The landscape is changing slowly in front of our eyes as we and our neighbours slowly work through all the burnt trees.
We have a new log shed up and can now start stacking for the winter
